What To Do in Woodstock VT This February

Enjoy the outdoors and choose your own adventure

In Woodstock, winter is an opportunity to embrace the season and enjoy the outdoors. Ski or snowboard at Saskadena Six (less than 10 minutes from the village), enjoy cross-country skiing at the Nordic Center, ride miles of snowy trails on a fat-tire bike, or snowshoe through Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park. Enjoy apres ski at Saskadena Six on Saturdays from 3:30-5pm with live music, food and drinks. You can also find fireside apres at The Nordic Center with live music on select Saturdays and Sundays through March. 

Woodstock is also home to Union Arena rink, where you can bring your own or rent skates on Wednesday and Sundays for public skate

Enjoy an old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh ride through the beautiful property at Billings Farm & Museum. Public Sleigh rides (on select days throughout February) are approximately 10 minutes long and $5/per person in addition to admission prices.

One of the most romantic spots in town, Au Comptoir is a quaint village cocktail bar tucked away on Mechanic Street. Head there before or after dinner for drinks and light bites. Cozy up by an outdoor fire pit and enjoy the ambiance of their beautiful interior space.

Live Music and Performances

Antigone, presented by a troupe of singing, dancing, juggling, clowning, kazoo-playing and ukulele-strumming local performers, this colorful production brings you a 2500 year old story of love, bravery, and injustice as you have never seen it before. Presented by BarnArts at Barnard Town Hall at 7:30pm. 

At the Woodstock Town Hall Theater, Myra Flynn will take the stage to perform a captivating mix of soulful ballads and folk-infused rhythms. Presented by Pentangle Arts at 7:30pm

Outdoor Experiences

Experience a winter evening at Billings Farm & Museum for their after hours Torchlight Snowshoe along the illuminated Billings Farm loop. Hear stories about local wildlife, the land’s history, and its past inhabitants. After exploring the trail, gather by the crackling outdoor fire to enjoy storytelling and complimentary s’mores, hot cocoa, and coffee.

February Vacation Week events in Woodstock

President's Week Torchlight Parade and Party

Celebrate winter with Saskadena Six! Torchlight Parade will begin shortly after sunset followed by family festivities, Top Hat Entertainment cranking out tunes, and a cash bar.

February Vacation Camps

There are so many fun activities for kids while in Woodstock during February vacation. Choose from lessons and skiing at Saskadena Six or check out the camp options at Artistree and Winter Wonders Camp at Billings Farm & Museum. 

Toddler Story Time at Norman Williams Public Library

Join the NWPL (February 20 and ongoing dates) to read a few books on a theme of the week. Enjoy stories, socializing, and often a project tied into the theme. For young children ages 20 months – 3 1/2 years. Duration: 30-60 minutes.
