Saturday Morning:

Learn proper equipment, gear, and techniques

Learn to fly cast on the Activity Center Lawn

Learn basic safety on the water, entomology (science of insects), and how to safely catch & release fish

Saturday Afternoon:

Lunch provided

Put your new skills to work as you cast and wade in the river!

Sunday Morning: 

Quick touch-up and review of casting techniques and safety on the water

Head to a local river to fish!

Sunday Afternoon:

Lunch provided

Learn advanced casting techniques 

Farewell gathering

Join the Woodstock Inn & Resort Orvis Endorsed Guide Team as they support Orvis’ 50/50 On the Water initiative to bring more women to the sport of fly fishing during She Casts, a Women-Only Fly Fishing Weekend!



Taught by Samantha Aronson, one of the Orvis Endorsed guides, you’ll learn everything from Fly Fishing basics to more advanced tactics and skills. Attend one day or both sessions for an intensive but not intense learning experience and fun on the water.
