About DJ Bugie
Honolulu-born DJ, Bugie (pronounced Boo – Gee) started his career in the early 90's at Hamburger Mary’s. After which he left for San Francisco and took up residency at the legendary End-Up where he played Friday nights for the popular “Club Dekadence” and again on Sundays for the weekly Tea Dance. A few years later, South Beach then became home where he quickly established himself as an integral part of the South Florida music scene. In 2013, Bugie moved back to San Francisco, where he has made Lookout his new home.
He's been featured during White Party Week at the “White Gold” party in 2007 and "White Stars" in 2011, Folsom Street Weekend at Magnitude in 2014 & 2015. Bugie most recently returned to the EndUp, to spin at ShangriLa's Anniversary Celebrations in 2016, 2017 & 2019 and PhoeniXSF. He's played the main stage for Rochester New York, Pride, Pearl Nightclub for the unofficial After Picnic Party, Hot Tea at City Nights during San Francisco Pride of 2017 2018, 2021, 2022 & 2023.
He has produced and remixed tracks under the pseudonym Knife & Fork with William Ducati Brown. Their collaboration with Leo Frappier and songstress BeBe Sweetbriar titled "Unity" went to #24 on the Billboard Dance Chart. He then teamed up with Griffin Longstreth aka DJ Pumpkin Spice to continue to work on remixes and together they produced "Read My Mind" with A2B (BeBe Sweetbrair, Adriana Roy and Amora Teese). His flawless taste in music, whether its disco house, tech house, dark tribal beats, or circuit influenced vocals, along with his infectious personality, makes him hard to resist.
