Show off your artistic abilities and enter into our Wassail Weekend Gingerbread Contest!

Rules & Guidelines

  1. Creations must be displayed on an 18” X 18” ¾ inch base. May be cottages, airplanes, barns, birdhouses, or other  imaginative dwellings.
  2. Gingerbread Houses will be displayed at Woodstock Scoops and other Village businesses for Wassail Weekend.
  3. The entire display except the base must be 100% edible. Embellishments can be candy, lollipops, or other edible ingredients.
  4. No artificial interior materials, such as Styrofoam or wood, are to be used to construct or decorate the house.
  5. Non-edible decorations such as paint, ribbon, figurines, etc. may be used ONLY to decorate your base.
  6. Please use Royal Icing only - no butter or eggs.
  7. You may use gingerbread or graham crackers. NO KITS ALLOWED.
  8. Please create a name for your creation-i.e Santa’s workshop, A Star Wars Christmas AND a list of all the materials used to create your Gingerbread House.
  9. The cost of entry is one unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
  10. Gingerbread Houses will be judged according to the following 3 categories:
    1. Families
    2. Adults (18+)
    3. Children (11-18)

Gingerbread Houses will be judged on the following criteria: originality, creativity, attractiveness, decorative appeal, workmanship, stability and durability.

All Gingerbread Houses must be delivered to the Chamber by December 10th
