Events August Pre-K Story Time at Billings Farm & Museum

This event has no more occurrences
This imaginative children’s program connects stories to hands-on experiences on the farm.  Each month will feature a different farm-related book with a chance to do an activity around the site, make a craft, and enjoy a snack.

In August’s story, Chicken really admires Scarecrow’s straw hat. Scarecrow would gladly trade his hat for a walking stick to rest his tired arms. Chicken doesn’t have a walking stick to trade—but she knows someone who does.  Following the tale’s themes of friendship, bartering, and problem-solving, children will embark on a scavenger hunt around the farm, trading items with the animals.  Each exchange will bring participants closer to earning a prize to take home.

This class is designed for preschool-aged children, ages 3-5, and requires an adult companion. Registration is $12/child including one adult or $10/member child including one adult. Advance registration recommended.  Guests who want to visit the site after the program must purchase admission.   Billingsfarm.org/prekstorytime
