Antiquing in the Woodstock Area has always been a delightful way to browse through history and have the opportunity to take home a bit of Vermont with you in the process.
Year 'round visit Fraser's Antiques, owned by Bob & Mary Fraser, three miles east of Woodstock in historic Taftsville. Its just 1/10th of a mile off route four just up the hill from the Taftsville Country Store. You can enjoy Americana, country furniture, hooked rugs. Books, iron, woodenware, textiles, lamps and silver. Open by chance or appointment.
In downtown Woodstock, you can enjoy walking to visit Eric Nesbitt Art & Antiques at 33 Pleasant Street or Wigren-Barlow Antiques at 29 Central Street.
One of the most exciting summer antiquing events is put on by the Green Mountain Antiques Group in July. 57 quality dealers exhibit at the Green Mountain Antiques Show held at Union Arena on Route 4 in Woodstock on July 29th and July 30th. This year, enjoy the new Breakfast Buyers Preview from 8-10 AM for $15. Regular admission on Saturday from 10-5 is $7 & July 30th regular admission 10-4 $7.(802) 484-5942
Enjoy a variety of ephemra at the St. James Fair held every year the second week in July. This year, from 10 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, July 13, visit the Green just outside historic St. James Church at the west end of the village Green for a variety of unique collectibles.
Stop by the Town Crier Board in the center of Woodstock Village across the street from Bentley's where you can find up-to-date weekly information about local yard sales and auctions. Or stop by our local Chamber of Commerce Information Booth on the Green to pick up the Vermont Antiques Dealer's Association state-wide booklet on "Antiquing in Vermont" to browse more of our beautiful state on your own.
